Saddle Stitched Binding
Saddle stitched binding is a method of binding in which the sections of a publication are inserted inside each other and secured through the middle fold with wire staples. Saddle stitched booklets are printed up to 128 pages, in sections of 4 pages (so the number of pages in your document must be divisible by 4, or we can add blank pages to reach the correct page count). Saddle stitch binding is the perfect choice for creating classic looking printed booklets.
What does Saddle Stitch mean?
Saddle stitching is booklet or book binding method in which folded sheets of paper are secured together using metal staples. The sheets are folded, gathered together in the appropriate order and then stapled through the fold line with metal wire staples. The staples are clamped in the centre pages of the document to secure the binding. Depending on the number of pages in the document, the printed outer pages can actually be slightly wider than the pages near the centre, to prevent the centre pages protruding from the document when folded.
